This antique reproduction is sstitch on 40-Count Havanna from Weeks Dye Works using Needlepoint Silk and Willow Green overdyed silk thread from The Thread Gatherer. Cross stitch over two threads of linen is used throughout with a few exceptions:
*The deer's eye is stitch over four threads vertically and two threads horizontally in an outlined diamond with a center vertical and center horizontal cross. See diagram.
*The cherubs' eyes are stitched into a row of six cross stitches horizontally. Stitch the X for stitch number 1 and 6. Then stitch another X in the center of where numbers 2, 3, 4 and 5 would be, covering just two threads horizontally and two threads vertically. See diagram.
Needlepoint Silks used are 293, 565, 692, 693, 706, 813, 851, 876, 957, 992, Willow Green from the Thread Gatherer.
As always, a conversion to DMC is provided.
Two skeins of 992 and The Thread Gatherer's Willow Green will be needed.
The stitch count of this sampler is 246 Wide by 318 High.
