Cross stitch over two threads of linen is used throughout with a few exceptions:\n\n*The deer's eye is stitch over four threads vertically and two threads horizontally in an outlined diamond with a center vertical and center horizontal cross.  See diagram.  \n*The cherubs' eyes are stitched into a row of six cross stitches horizontally.  Stitch the X for stitch number 1 and 6.  Then stitch another X in the center of where numbers 2, 3, 4 and 5 would be, covering just two threads horizontally and two threads vertically.
