The framed version is stitched on 40-Count Seaweed from Fox and Rabbit.  The Drum version is stitched on 40-Count Paperbark, also from Fox and Rabbit.  Both are stitched with Needlepoint Silks over two threads of linen.  The needle and thread in the bird's beak are worked in straight stitches.  All other stitches are cross stitch.\nA note on framing this design:  I extended the bottom portion of the bird so that when framed, this part would be under the bottom lip of the frame.  This is optional.
