I found the antique Lily Honess sampler in a Pennsylvania antique shop. It was truly love at first sight for me! I was instantly intrigued by the addition of old millinery flowers. Lily most likely made her sampler to commemorate her visit to the Marden Flower Show on July 14, 1886. She was 10 years old at the time. Immediately I assumed Lily's sampler was of Pennsylvania origin because of the colors used. After doing some research, I learned Lily lived in Marden, Kent, England. The chart pack includes some of Lily's and her family's history.
I made two reproductions of Lily's sampler. These are in the first two photos of this listing. The third photo is of Lily's original sampler.
The chart pack contains the chart for the sampler and color photos of the antique sampler and my two reproductions along with close-up shots of the flowers added. This is an easy project! Adding the flowers was truly fun!

PDF VERSION: If you print the pages of this pattern, it will help to have a color printer when printing the cover sheet and the three additional photo pages. Also, the file containing ALL the files includes a chart to be printed on 11 x 17" paper. If you don't have access to that, you may want to use the "four page cht" version which should be printed on 8 1/2 x 11" paper.
