The Lion and The Lamb was sitched on 40-Count Ancient Ruin from Fox & Rabbit using one strand of Needlepoint Silk over two threads of linen. Cross stitch is used throughout with two exceptions: Stitch the lion's whiskers using long, straight stitches. Stitch the leaf stems in the birds' beaks in back stitches.
The pincushion was finished with a cotton calico fabric and the edges were trimmed with ruched 1/2 inch seam binding in the colorway Smoke Grey available on etsy from RibbonsByZipperstop.
The stitch count of the sampler is 243 wide by 147 high. The stitch count for the pincushion is 77 wide by 65 high.
Needlepoint Silk colors used are: 123, 209, 221, 223, 312, 313, 475, 694, 695, 761, 765, 867, 962, 991BB.
As always, a conversion to DMC is provided.
