A new design for March, 2020!
Spot the Horse is the name of a sampler I designed under Carriage House Samplings many moons ago. I truly loved Spot and wanted to bring him back into another sampler. The larger sampler is stitched on 40-Count Tycho from Picture This Plus using one strand of Needlepoint Silk over two threads of linen. One skein of Chimney Sweep from The Thread Gatherer was used to stitch Spot. The smaller version of this design was stitched on 40-Count Bramble from Picture This Plus, also using Needlepoint Silks over two threads of linen and Chimney Sweep. Cross stitch is used throughout with one exception: Define Spot's eye using one strand of Chimney Sweep making two straight stitches as shown on the chart. Our frame was custom made at our local craft store. Please note the spacing between the motifs in the horizontal borders and the vertical borders differ.
Stitch Count: 119 Wide by 116 High.
Needlepoint Silks used: 993, 223, 244, 342, 634, 692, 693, 704, 763, 911, 955.
As always, a conversion to DMC is provided.
